New studio mix from the recent drum recording workshop at Blue Sprocket Sound. The song we used for the workshop is titled "Just Groove Me" by Oz Noy. This is a tune that originally Dave Weckl performed on. I'm certainly not Weckl, but it's a fun tune to play-along to and put my own take on.
The workshop covered head choices, tuning, microphone placement, mixing and editing. We started out with one mic and ended up with over 20! Thanks to Gordon Davies for leading the workshop and mixing the song below. Hope you enjoy...
